Weather Announcement: Monday, November 14, 2022
Below is information about the 2 Hour Delayed start plan for Pikeland. This plan comes with pros and cons. Please be prepared either way as Mother Nature will make the final call tomorrow morning. Please consider signing up for the Pikeland CUSD #10 Mobile App. Stay tuned to local new outlets and make sure you listen to voice messages before instantly dialing the call back number. Instantly calling back "clogs" the phone lines. The goal of this communication is help everyone plan....no decisions have been made! Stau tuned.
Pikeland does have protocols for a Delayed Start. This schedule has not been used very often over the years. If a Delayed Start was used by the district to open school, it means everything runs exactly 2 hours later than normal. Example: If your bus pick-up is 7:10 am, your pick-up on a Delayed Start would be 9:10 am. If school normally starts for you at 8:30 am, then class would start at 10:30 am on a Delayed Start schedule. On this schedule, school would dismiss at the regular times. Breakfast and lunch would be available on this schedule. Learning activities such as Library, Home Room, PE, Art or Music may be cancelled for the day on this schedule.
CEO Breakfast today! Pike County students benefit greatly from this program! Great way to start the day!

There has been a water main break that has impacted PCS. We are under a boil order for 48 hours. Please send plenty of water to school with your student tomorrow. We understand the container may not be clear, that's acceptable for tomorrow. Thank you and have a good evening.
