Pittsfield, Illinois: The Illinois Association for Career and Technical Education (IACTE) has announced their award for the IACTE Carl Perkins Community Service Award. We are excited to announce that Pikeland Agriculture teacher, Jodi Heavner, was honored with this award.
According to IACTE, “This award recognizes individuals who have used CTE to make a significant impact on their community and demonstrated leadership in programs and activities that promote student involvement in community service. We believe Mrs. Heavner exemplifies the qualities required for this award and our students and community benefit from her leadership in Agricultural education. “
Mrs. Heavner will be participating for continued recognition at the national level in November.
