The Pittsfield FFA Chapter has been named a 2022 FFA Premier Chapter National Finalist in Strengthening Agriculture. This recognition places Pittsfield in the Top 10 FFA Chapters in the nation. National FFA currently consists of 8,817 chapters and more than 760,000 members from the 50 states, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
The National Chapter Award program recognizes outstanding FFA chapters that actively implement the organization’s mission and strategies. These chapters improve chapter operations using the National Quality FFA Chapter Standards and a Program of Activities that emphasizes growing leaders, building communities, and strengthening agriculture. Chapters are rewarded for providing educational experiences for the entire membership.
National FFA recognizes the top chapters with innovative activities in each of the three divisions: growing leaders, building communities and strengthening agriculture. Chapters that receive three-star ratings during judging are eligible to compete for the premier chapter awards. The top ten FFA chapters will have their members compete in a presentation and interview process in September. All ten chapters will be recognized in a ceremony on stage at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, IN in October when the winner is announced.
