PCS Girls basketball game tonight v. Our Saviour will be an 8th grade game only - 6 PM start.

Pikeland School District is working in cooperation with Chestnut Health Systems. This work includes providing virtual, comprehensive mental health services to support students and families during times of grief, trauma and stress. Tomorrow's JV football game @ Louisiana will be a shortened contest due to low numbers for the opposing team. They will play two 12 minute quarters.

Updated Senior Night Dates: The new Senior Night dates are listed below. They have been moved up to ensure the kids get a senior night since we've had teams in our conference and around the state having to cancel games. Volleyball Senior Night - October 5th - If this game is canceled for any reason, our 2nd and 3rd options for the senior night would be Oct 11 & Oct 14. Football, Golf, Cross Country, Football Cheer, Flags - October 1st - If this game is canceled for any reason, our 2nd and 3rd options for the senior night would be Oct 8 & Oct 22.

Athletic Annoucement: Military Service Night Coach Ferguson and the Saukee Football team will be honoring all branches of the military during the home game Friday night (Sept. 10th) . Any current military or former military will have free admission to the game.

Tonight's PHS freshman football game v. West Hancock will be played in Hamilton.

Due to not being able to find another opponent, tonight’s JV football game is cancelled.

Tomorrow’s jv football game will now be against QND starting at 6 PM.

Tonight's PCS softball game at White Hall has been cancelled.

PHS volleyball travels to Calhoun tonight for a 6:00 PM JV start followed by varsity. Calhoun School District is requiring all game participants and fans to wear masks.

PHS Volleyball opens their season tonight at Southeastern. Please see Southeastern's home game policy below: 1. Concessions will be soda, candy, and chips. (pre-packaged items.) 2. Masks must be worn by everyone while in the school/gym. 3. All workers, employees, coaches, fans, etc. will be masked.

Tonight’s PCS softball game v. Jacksonville MS will be played in Pittsfield. First pitch is scheduled for 4:45.

Goal #7 Individuals are ultimately responsible for investing in their own growth and potential. • 90% of currently enrolled students entering grades K, 3, 6, & 9 will participate in grade level or school orientation programs. The Pikeland Board of Education has been actively establishing goals for the 2021-2022 school year. As the school year settles in, a complete list of the goals will be presented with updates on the district’s website. Pittsfield High School is leading the way with Goal #7. The high school began working on Goal #7 in June of 2021 with many planning sessions over the summer. During the months of July and August, high school teachers and administrators began to make the goal a reality. Over a period of 4 days, the high school staff connected with 97 of the 106 members of the Class of 2025. This outstanding work meets and exceeds the targeted goal with 92% of the 9th grade class participating in a grade level orientation program. Nice work PHS!
