As part of your spring cleaning it is important to check and ensure all smoke and carbon monoxide alarms are functioning properly and have fresh batteries. Installing a smoke alarm inside each bedroom, outside sleeping areas, and on every level of a home including a basement is recommended by the National Fire Protection Association.

IHSA Officiating 101 Course -
You know this statement is true because you’ve said it many times – We need more officials.
In an effort to attract new people, the IHSA is offering the first-ever Officiating 101 course in our area.
Quincy Notre Dame High School – April 27 – 7:00-9:00 p.m.
The Officiating 101 course is FREE! There is no advanced registration. Those who are interested can simply show up.
The instructors will introduce officiating fundamentals and will explain how to get started.

This award recognizes individuals who have used CTE to make a significant impact on their community and demonstrated leadership in programs and activities that promote student involvement in community service.

The PCS track meet scheduled for today at Liberty has been postponed to Thursday, April 14.
Tonight JV baseball game v. Beardstown is cancelled for this afternoon. The varsity baseball game is still on.
Lady Saukee softball hosts Quincy HS tonight, first pitch scheduled for 4:30. This is a make up game from last week.
Tonight’s varsity softball game v. Quincy HS is rained out. This game is rescheduled for Monday, April 4th at 4:30.
The first ever Saukee Hall of Fame induction ceremony has been scheduled for April 30, 2022 at 5:00 pm in Pittsfield High School Voshall Gymnasium. This ceremony will be open to the Saukee community. At this event, we will be honoring the 2020 and 2021 Hall of Fame inductees. We ask all inductees, if you haven't already, please RSVP to Pittsfield High School, 217-285-6888, as to your intentions of attending.

Music Program Shout Out!
The Pikeland Music Program held its annual fundraiser (community music concert/meal) on March 25, 2022. Due to the pandemic and mitigation requirements, the program was not held in 2020 or 2021.
Beyond the outstanding student performances....some details of the evening are below.
830 pulled pork sandwiches were sold.
It is anticipated the fundraiser will net around $4,300 for the music program.
55 adult workers contributed to the success of the evening.
Beyond sharing their musical talent, 30 student workers served or helped with clean-up.
Thank you to those who organized, worked and/or attended this event. A special thank you to the music instructors and the students...your dedication was noticed and appreciated. It was a great evening!
Phs softball game scheduled for tomorrow (3/26) @ Mendon is cancelled due to wet field conditions.
Due to wet field conditions, both PHS softball and PHS jv baseball are cancelled this evening.
Tonight's PHS baseball and softball games at Southeastern are cancelled. No make up dates have been scheduled at this time.
