In January, Miss Lemons' first grade class started the process of becoming published authors! They brainstormed, researched, wrote rough drafts, revised the drafts, and made illustrations. They sent it back to the company, and the book was published!
Miss Lemons was able to raise enough money to purchase a book for every student in the class! A big shout out to all of the boys and girls on their hard work, this book is amazing!

Mrs. Angie Greger is this years recipient of the Saukee Basketball award. She has been a pillar in the Saukee community and is supportive of all Pikeland activities. She goes above and beyond with her dedication to the students and staff of Pittsfield High School. A true Saukee! We thank her for all her love and support! Congratulations Mrs. Greger!

The cheer camp for all pre-registered participants will be at the PHS gym from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. tomorrow. Please note this is a change in location. There is no on-site registration - only students who pre-registered can attend.

January 3rd - Teacher Institute Day. Students not in attendance.
January 4th - All students return from Winter Break on regular schedule.
January 15th - Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Students not in attendance.
January 18th - School Improvement Day. Student early release @ 1:30 p.m.
2. Please make sure if your contact and emergency information have changed...let your individual buildings know. It is critical we have this information updated for so many reasons, including bad weather days.

1. As you know, we have several activities going on during Christmas Break. Good luck to our teams, but more importantly please be safe in your travels and represent us well.
2. Where do the school district's general fund revenues come from? In 2018, 35% came from local sources, 55% came from state sources, and 10% came from federal sources. In 2023, 34% comes from local sources, 44% comes from state sources, and 22% comes from federal sources. Obviously federal ESSER dollars have increased the federal percentages and are expiring (September 30, 2024). It is important that we spend the remaining ESSER dollars wisely and intentionally.

1. Congratulations to our 8th grade girls basketball team on winning the IESA 8-3A State Championship. They finished the season with 28 wins and 0 losses and are BACK TO BACK STATE CHAMPIONS (so tough to do). Congratulations!
2. Reminder: Our last day of the semester is Tuesday, 19, 2013. This is a regular dismissal day. School will resume on Thursday, January 4, 2024.
